Solar cell

Prices

Current prices for high-efficiency PERC 182 solar cells (23.2% efficiency and above) are 0.29-0.30 yuan/W; PERC 210 solar cells are around 0.29-0.30 yuan/W; Topcon 182 solar cells (24.7% efficiency and above) are around 0.28-0.295 yuan/W; Topcon 210RN solar cells are 0.29-0.30 yuan/W; Topcon 210 solar cells are 0.29-0.30 yuan/W.

Production

Although some cell makers reduced production in July, the increase brought by integrated producers led to an overall increase in battery production. In August, with the improvement in cell orders and the resumption of production at some bases, the scheduled production of specialized cell makers is expected to rise.

Inventory

The downstream pickup volume has increased, and the inventory of some cell makers has slightly decreased. However, overall cell inventory remains high, with total inventory exceeding 20 days.

Module Prices

In the current module market, the mainstream transaction prices for PERC 182mm modules are 0.7-0.77 yuan/W, for PERC 210mm modules are 0.72-0.78 yuan/W, for N-type 182mm modules are 0.75-0.81 yuan/W, and for N-type 210mm modules are 0.76-0.82 yuan/W. Module prices remain largely stable with minor fluctuations, and some previously high prices are slightly decreasing.

Production

In July, the operating rate of module producers slightly increased. In August, the scheduled production of modules is expected to slightly increase MoM, supported by low material prices and the demand for delivery of centralised procurement projects.

Inventory

There are signs of inventory reduction for domestic and overseas modules, but they remain at high levels.

PV film

Price:

EVA/POE PV-grade resin:

The current domestic trading price of EVA is about 9,400 yuan/mt. For the price of EVA resin, please consult the analyst. The price of POE PV-grade resin temporarily remains at $2,100-2,150/mt for C4 and $2,200-2,250/mt for C8.

PV film: The current mainstream price for 420g transparent EVA film is 5.46-5.67 yuan/sqm, 420g white EVA film is 5.99-6.36 yuan/sqm, 380g EPE film is 6.46-6.65 yuan/sqm, and 380g POE film is 8.74-8.93 yuan/sqm.

Production

Affected by poor order demand, the current production of PV film is based on order demand. Due to high inventory, the current resin production has been reduced.

Inventory

Due to high inventory, the inventory of petrochemical resin has been reduced. Affected by losses and weak orders, the inventory of film at film factories has slightly increased to lower inventory costs.

Solar Inverter

Price

This week, the price range for inverters is as follows: 20kw at 0.12-0.16 yuan/W, 50kw at 0.11-0.15 yuan/W, 110kw at 0.1-0.14 yuan/W, and 320kw at 0.09-0.11 yuan/W. The prices of inverters remain stable.

Supply and Demand

The supply side production is stable and sufficient. The demand for household and super power models is good, and the grid connection demand in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East continues to drive shipment momentum.

PV Glass

Price

3.2mm single-layer coated: The price of 3.2mm single-layer coated PV glass is 23.5-24.5 yuan/square meter, and the price is falling.

3.2mm double-layer coated: The price of 3.2mm double-layer coated PV glass is 24.5-25.5 yuan/square meter, and the price is falling.

2.0mm single-layer coated: The price of 2.0mm single-layer coated PV glass is 14.5-15.5 yuan/square meter, and the price remains stable.

2.0mm double-layer coated: The price of 2.0mm double-layer coated PV glass is 15.3-16.5 yuan/square meter, and the price is falling.

Production

Since July, the supply side has seen the addition of a 1,200 mt/day kiln in Shandong and the cold repair of five kilns in Anhui with a total capacity of 2,900 mt/day. Additionally, a 600 mt/day kiln in Zhejiang underwent cold repair. There were no changes in the domestic supply side this week.

Inventory

Glass inventory continued to increase this week. As the month is about to end, domestic module producers' purchasing activity remained sluggish. They are generally bearish on August prices and plan to wait for prices to drop before purchasing again, leading to an increase in inventory.

CHISINAU. Aug 14 - The Moldovan Energy Ministry's tender committee has approved seven bids to construct onshore wind farms with total capacity of 170 MW, with the obligation to install 44 MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS), the Energy Ministry said. The winning investors are required to commission the power plants within 36 months of receiving major producer status. Lumina Noastra, Navitas Energy, Leafwind Energy, Oromaxmontaj, and Summa FIBA Enerji were the four Moldovan companies declared as winners of the tender. The tender has stipulated that the winner must install an energy storage system. The minimum storage capacity is 0.25 MWh for every 1 MW of wind energy supported by the project. A government decision will confirm the exact storage capacity for each project. As previously reported, the Moldovan Energy Ministry announced a tender in December 2025 for the construction of wind farms with total capacity of 170 MW to be complemented by 44 MW of energy storage systems. According to the Energy Ministry, implementing the projects in the tender should boost the share of renewable energy sources in total generation to 11.4% and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 1.4 million tonnes of CO2. The tender is the first time that an energy storage component has been included in the creation of generating capacity. The Energy Ministry last summer successfully held a tender for the construction of 165 MW of renewable energy generation facilities, including 60 MW of solar power plants and 105 MW of wind power plants. The solar power plants were commissioned that autumn. Private investment to construct the 165 MW renewable energy facility totaled around 190 million euros. According to the Energy Ministry, the currently installed capacity of renewable energy sources (RES) in Moldova exceeds 1000 MW. Solar energy accounts for the largest share at around 73%, followed by wind power and biogas. RES in Moldova increased 16% year-on-year to generate 800 million kWh in 2025, providing nearly one quarter of the country's electricity consumption.

Uzbekistan launches 20 MW wind farm with Chinese support
TASHKENT. Aug 21 - Uzbekistan has put the 20 MW Chorbog wind farm in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region into operation, the country's Energy Ministry reported. "The Chorbog wind farm is completely ready for operation and is being launched for the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. This project is another result of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China," the ministry said. The government of China provided $28 million in interest-free grant financing for the project. The facility has four installed wind turbines with capacity of 5 MW each and is expected to generate up to 50 million kWh of electricity annually, which the ministry said is enough to power about 20,000 households. The operation of the wind farm will make it possible to save tens of thousands of cubic meters of natural gas annually and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the ministry said.
