Argentina's lithium carbonate capacity has tripled in two years, potentially rising to become the world's third-largest lithium producer. The Argentine Mining Entrepreneurs Association (CAEM) reported that driven by new projects, Argentina's lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) capacity has tripled in the past two years, from 37,500 tons in 2022 to 136,500 tons. Argentina is currently the world's fourth-largest lithium producer, ranking behind Australia, Chile, and China. The country aims to become the world's third-largest lithium producer.
