Beijing (Gasgoo)- NavInfo’s automotive chip arm AutoChips announced that its new-generation intelligent cockpit domain controller SoC, the AC8025, has been integrated into the intelligent cockpit system of a domestic automotive brand, marking the chip's entry into mass production.

According to Hu Xiaoli, Deputy General Manager of AutoChips, the AC8025 has secured multiple designated projects with car manufacturers in and outside of China. The chip is set to be produced in large volumes from the second half of this year through next year, with an expected shipment scale of nearly one million units.

The AC8025 features an octa-core high-performance CPU combination of A76 and A55, and it meets AEC-Q100 automotive grade certification and ISO 26262 ASIL B certification for instrument display. It supports eight channels of full HD camera input, seven channels of full HD independent display, as well as long strip and ultra-large screen displays. The chip also incorporates a dual-core HiFi DSP, providing an excellent audio-visual experience. Additionally, the AC8025 includes a high-performance NPU, which is scalable to integrate DMS and OMS applications. The built-in HSM supports secure boot and secure upgrades, and it also supports national cryptographic hardware encryption and decryption.

At the recent electronica China 2024 event, AutoChips showcased the mass-produced prototype of the AC8025, developed in collaboration with Foryou General Electronics. This vehicle system demonstrated the capability of the AC8025 chip to support both instrument and central control screens. The central control section utilizes an Android 12 system with a touch-enabled In-Cell screen, boasting a resolution of 1920x1080. It supports full HD 360° AVM surround view, fast RVC reversing, OTA upgrades, fatigue monitoring, vehicle control, DVR, Bluetooth, music, video playback, and third-party apps.
