Shanghai (Gasgoo)- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (“MIIT”) recently released the 385th batch of the "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products Announcement," which includes Geely Auto's fire new battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the Geely Xingyuan (translating to "star wish").

In terms of exterior design, the Geely Xingyuan adopts a fresh aesthetic with a closed-off grille typical of BEVs, complemented by headlamps with a strikingly sharp design. The side profile of the car showcases smooth, flowing lines and a two-tone body design, including the trendy floating roof.

The new model measures 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.

The rear of the car features taillights that resemble rounded triangles, echoing the style of the front. According to the lettering at the rear, the new model is likely to be under Geely Auto's BEV range "GEOME".

Regarding power, the Geely Xingyuan is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack and offers two motor options with power outputs of 58 kW and 85 kW, respectively.

Upon its market release, the fire new model is expected to vie with the lieks of the BYD Dolphin, Wuling Binguo, and Baojun Yunduo.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
