Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Last week, the XPENG G6 model made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the oldest car show in the UK, marking XPENG's first appearance in the British market.

Since its inception in 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has been one of Europe's most prestigious automotive events. This year, after a long hiatus, the festival returned with thrilling racing activities and showcases from major car manufacturers.

The XPENG G6 participated in this automotive extravaganza, traveling through the scenic routes of West Sussex and taking part in the famous Goodwood Hillclimb. This event provided a platform for the XPENG G6 to demonstrate its impressive acceleration and innovative smart features.

On-site, XPENG Europe's Jos Van Den Bergh highlighted the core advantages of XPENGs vehicles and introduced the G6 model. Developed on the SEPA2.0  full-domain intelligent evolution architecture, the G6 boasts an 800V platform as standard across its entire lineup and offers exceptional interior space.

Jos Van Den Bergh also announced that the XPENG G6, as the company's first global-oriented model, will be available in the UK right-hand drive market. British consumers can expect to place orders for the smart coupe SUV by the fourth quarter of this year.

XPENG said it is committed to deepening its presence in the European market, having already made footprints in Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and France.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
