Cobalt, with the element symbol of Co and an atomic number of 27, has a melting point of 1493°C, a boiling point of about 3100°C, a relative density of 8.9g/cm³, and a Mohs hardness of 5-5.5. As an important metal element, cobalt is hard and brittle, with properties that include maintaining high strength at high temperatures and having low thermal and electrical conductivity.
