Automotive communication chip and solution provider LinkPowerIC recently announced it secured over 100 million yuan in angel and Pre-A funding rounds.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Automotive communication chip and solution provider LinkPowerIC recently announced it secured over 100 million yuan in angel and Pre-A funding rounds.

Founded in early 2023, LinkPowerIC specializes in designing chips and solutions for automotive communications. The company has introduced the first chip in its initial product series, which utilizes the latest Bluetooth protocol and Channel Sounding algorithm. This innovation significantly enhances positioning accuracy, addresses safety weaknesses, and reduces calibration workload for auto manufacturers, making LinkPowerIC one of the first companies in China to mass-produce chips with this technology. The chip's high-precision positioning capability is initially applied in digital car keys and is expected to extend to broader applications, including asset management in data centers, energy transmission, and equipment maintenance in power systems.

LinkPowerIC is currently promoting, mass-producing, and stocking its first chip while deepening collaborations with leading automakers and continuously optimizing the positioning algorithm to improve user experience. The company is also planning and researching subsequent products.

Li Qiang, head of market planning at LinkPowerIC, stated, "A crucial aspect of software-defined vehicles is the ability to embed additional computing power and connectivity in existing vehicle models. LinkPowerIC is dedicated to researching data transmission within vehicle bodies and exploring new applications for new technologies, ensuring that in-vehicle connectivity meets and even exceeds current demands."

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
