Zhejiang Launches Largest Grid-Side Independent Energy Storage Project with 200MW/400MWh Capacity in the Province

The 200MW/400MWh grid-side independent energy storage project with the largest individual installed capacity in Zhejiang Province has been successfully launched. This is the Jinhua Wuyi grid-side energy storage project, boasting a capacity of 200 megawatts (MW) and 400 megawatt-hours (MWh). Located in Wuyi County, Jinhua, Zhejiang, the project includes the construction of a 200MW/400MWh energy storage power station, along with a 220kV booster station and transmission line project. The current phase of the energy storage power station involves the installation of eight 25MW/50MWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage systems. Jointly developed by Shenzhen Sunwoda Intelligent Energy Co., Ltd. and Wuyi Urban Investment Group, the project has a total investment of 800 million yuan and consists of 88 energy storage warehouses and 44 converter booster warehouses. The project utilizes the NoahX2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system equipped with Sunwoda's 314Ah large-capacity battery cells. Construction began on March 11, and the project achieved a successful one-time power transmission on June 9.
