Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, Baolong Automotive's subsidiary, Xianglong Technology ("Xianglong" is Chinese Pinyin), officially relocated its headquarters to University Park Road in Optics Valley of China, Wuhan city, according to a post on Baolong Automotive's WeChat account.

Xianglong Technology, established in 2022, is a joint venture between Baolong Automotive and METOAK. The company focuses on 3D binocular stereo vision technology and related automotive robotics applications, with its headquarters previously in Suzhou and a branch office in Wuhan. As Baolong Automotive's global intelligent driving R&D headquarters project settles in Optics Valley of China and Xianglong Technology's core team continues to grow, the company decided to move its headquarters to Optics Valley in early July to further strengthen Baolong Automotive's ADAS R&D capabilities in Wuhan and better leverage the local R&D resources.

Xianglong Technology's binocular stereo vision system has been successfully integrated into Dongfeng Motor's MHERO 917 model, enabling the vehicle to automatically and in real-time recognize snowy road conditions and ensure the chassis is always in the optimal off-road mode. Earlier this year, when Wuhan was hit by freezing rain, many vehicles were stranded on the roads. Dongfeng Group’s MHERO Technology, in collaboration with the Wuhan Traffic Management Bureau, helped numerous stranded car owners, primarily thanks to the MHERO 917’s excellent traversal capabilities on snowy roads.

To enable cars to see farther and more accurately, Xianglong Technology, in partnership with Baolong Automotive, completed the first in-car 8-megapixel trinocular project for a leading Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer, achieving mass production with millimeter-level measurement accuracy. Recently, Xianglong Technology has integrated all-terrain road preview and ADAS technologies to develop a low-computation integrated machine that provides AEB (automatic emergency braking) for any obstacle, achieving higher recognition rates compared to traditional solutions.

In the future, Xianglong Technology will continue to iterate on automotive-grade binocular stereo vision chips, continuously enhancing ADAS and road preview system capabilities. By leveraging the R&D resources of Baolong Automotive and METOAK, along with the unique industrial advantages of Optics Valley of China, the company said it aims to seize better opportunities and contribute to the growth of the intelligent driving industry.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
