Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 2, 2024, Chinese automaker JAC Group officially put its first DI platform-powered electric vehicle, the E30X (known as EV 3 in China), onto the UAE market. The launch event took place at La Perle Theatre in Al Habtoor City, Dubai.

The E30X’s foray into the UAE signifies a major breakthrough in JAC Group’s efforts to promote green and sustainable transportation solutions in collaboration with local partners.

The UAE has always been a strategic market for JAC Group, thanks to its reliable local partners, vast market potential, and open trade system. The E30X, as an all-electric vehicle, is poised to contribute significantly to the UAE’s 2050 zero-carbon emission goals. JAC Group plans to introduce more new energy vehicles in the UAE.

From the outset, the EV 3 model was designed with a global perspective, adhering to the strictest global standards. The Gulf edition of the E30X, launched in the UAE, has been tailored to meet local market conditions, including geographic environment, regulations, cultural preferences, and driving habits. Key features of the E30X include its second-generation A-segment electric vehicle platform, a five-star safety-rated body, and advanced intelligent experiences, embodying its core value propositions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
