Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 9, the "Guangzhou Baiyun Fabu" WeChat account reported that the Phase I of Huawei's Guangzhou R&D Center is expected to be fully completed and delivered by September.

Currently, the main structures of the nine towers have been topped out, and various construction projects are underway. The curtain wall installation of the office area has been 90% completed, with 95% completion in mechanical and electrical engineering, fire protection installation, and rough interior decoration. The fine interior decoration has been 90% completed, and the exterior landscaping has been 30% done. The interior decoration is expected to be finished by July, with the curtain wall installation to be completed by mid-August, leading to the overall completion and delivery of the office area in September.

The Phase I project of Huawei's Guangzhou R&D Center is Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.'s first R&D base in Guangzhou, covering an area of approximately 119,300 square meters and a total building area of about 305,000 square meters. It includes eight R&D buildings, one hotel, one cooling tower, a guardhouse, and two basement levels, designed to accommodate around 5,000 R&D personnel.

The center will focus on the R&D of intelligent vehicles, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT), accelerating the application of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) across various industries in Guangzhou. This initiative aims to establish a robust industrial cluster for intelligent vehicles and autonomous driving in the city.

Located in the Songzhou Street area of Baiyun District, the R&D center is planned to spearhead the aggregation of upstream and downstream component enterprises within Huawei's smart vehicle supply chain. It will attract new high-tech investments and supporting industry services, fostering a digital and smart industrial ecosystem.
