Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 3, FAW-Volkswagen celebrated a significant milestone as its 28 millionth vehicle, the all-new Magotan, rolled off the production line at its Changchun plant. This made FAW-Volkswagen the first passenger car manufacturer in China to surpass 28 million units in production and sales.

The all-new Magotan is scheduled for official market release on July 9. Featuring a "Timeless" design philosophy, the new Magotan is crafted to be a future classic. Its interior has been comprehensively upgraded to include a multi-screen intelligent cockpit, powered by the Qualcomm 8155 chip, catering to users' demands for advanced smart technology. The car is equipped with the IQ. Pilot intelligent driving assistance system, capable of achieving L2+ intelligent driving at speeds up to 130 km/h. Additionally, it boasts advanced safety features such as AWU, providing users with robust and reliable intelligent driving experience in the oil-fueled vehicle market.

FAW-Volkswagen is currently at a critical juncture of transformation, achieving significant breakthroughs in new energy vehicle development, digital transformation, and business model innovation. Notably, the company has made strides in product development with its independently developed Jetta pure electric platform, achieving advances in electric drive, battery technology, thermal management, and suspension systems. Impressively, FAW-Volkswagen completed the development and testing of the electronic and electrical architecture POC prototype vehicle in half the industry-standard time.

From 2026 onwards, the company plans to launch a series of self-developed pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric models, further expanding its portfolio and meeting the evolving needs of consumers.
