GWM POER rolls off 600,000th pickup truck

On July 1, Great Wall Motor (GWM) announced that the 600,000th GWM POER pickup truck has officially rolled off the production line.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 1, Great Wall Motor (GWM) announced that the 600,000th GWM POER pickup truck has officially rolled off the production line.

This milestone vehicle is the performance edition of the Shanhai POER. Built on the intelligent off-roader-dedicated TANK platform, it features the 3.0T+9AT powertrain combination, 18-inch off-road AT tires, K-MAN nitrogen shock absorbers, and a 12,500-pound T-MAX winch.

The Shanhai POER Performance Edition also comes standard with a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 14.6-inch floating central control screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, Level 2 intelligent driving capabilities, leather-wrapped seats, and an innovative rear-seat electric sliding system.

In 2019, the GWM POER global pickup brand was established. It took less than 100 days to produce the first 10,000 vehicles. Within one year of its founding, the brand achieved a production milestone of 100,000 units. By its second anniversary, its sales had surpassed 200,000 units. In two years and eight months, sales exceeded 300,000 units. By its fourth anniversary, the brand had produced 500,000 vehicles.

To date, GWM POER has developed two main categories: fashionable commercial and passenger leisure pickups. It offers models for various scenarios, including passenger, commercial, and off-road, covering the price range of 100,000 yuan to 300,000 yuan.

According to the automaker's data, in the first half of this year, GWM Pickup sold 91,916 vehicles, with a share close to 50% in Chinas domestic market, and exported 24,200 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. The GWM POER has sold over 10,000 units per month for 45 months in total.
