Geely Automobile posts 24% YoY jump in June 2024 auto sales

In June 2024, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (Geely Automobile) sold 166,085 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of 24%.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In June 2024, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile") sold 166,085 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of 24%. For the first half of 2024, Geely Automobile's cumulative sales reached 955,730 units, reflecting a year-on-year surge of 41%.

The automaker’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sales were particularly noteworthy, with June NEV sales totaling 65,959 units, a month-on-month increase of 12% and a year-on-year spike of 88%. NEVs accounted for nearly 40% of Geely Automobile's sales in June. From January to June, Geely Automobile sold 320,185 NEVs, indicating an impressive year-on-year hike of 117%.

Breaking down the performance by brand, the Geely brand sold 121,540 vehicles in June, up 14% year-on-year. Its total sales volume in the first half of 2024 reached 741,860 vehicles, jumping 34% from a year ago. The Geely Galaxy NEV range saw June sales of 15,975 vehicles, which zoomed up 65% from the previous year.

The Lynk & Co brand, sold 24,439 vehicles in June, which shot up 49.2% year over year, with 15,203 units being NEVs, indicating a 23% month-on-month increase. Lynk & Co's total sales for the first half of 2024 reached 126,000 units, surging 54% year on year. Since the launch of its first model in late 2017, Lynk & Co has sold over 1.17 million vehicles as of June 2024.

ZEEKR, Geely's premium electric vehicle brand, reported June deliveries of 20,106 vehicles, representing an 89% year-on-year soar. In the Jan.-Jun. period, ZEEKR’s delivery volume came in at 87,870 vehicles, more than doubled from a year ago (+106% YoY).

In terms of overseas performance, Geely Automobile's exports in June amounted to 35,347 vehicles, up 61% year-on-year. In the first half of this year, the automaker’s export volume totaled 197,428 vehicles, rising 67% from a year ago.
