The machine and system manufacturer from Buschhütten is expanding its logistics centre to increase flexibility and efficiency in supplying customers worldwide.

The 20,000m2 site with four warehouse bays and office buildings, which Achenbach is using to expand its logistics areas, now offers sufficient space and best conditions for the receipt, quality inspection, storage and order picking of goods as well as the worldwide dispatch of plant components.

"We are very pleased that the new site in Kredenbach now provides us with optimal conditions for our movement of goods. We are thus ensuring Achenbach's ability to deliver," emphasises Sebastian Groos, Managing Director of Achenbach.

"In view of a significant increase in our order intake in recent years, we have now reached our limits in Buschhütten and have therefore had to rent several external warehouses in Siegerland for some time, for example, to store raw materials and plant components, which was of course very costly and inconvenient. By relocating essential logistics services to Kredenbach, we can significantly increase flexibility and efficiency with regard to the relevant processes."

"The new location has many advantages for us," adds Yaseen Mahmood, authorised signatory of Achenbach Logistics GmbH and Operations Manager in Kredenbach. "The four bays with an area of over 4,500m2 offer sufficient space for storage - over 1,000 pallet bays are available as high-bay warehouses -operations and quality inspection of incoming goods. The additional space allows us to organise our work processes much more effectively and cost-effectively, and several overhead crane systems from 1t to 20t also facilitate the processes. The neighbouring office and social areas also meet our needs."

More than 30 employees currently work at the new site, ensuring everything runs smoothly. To ensure the supply of materials for production and assembly at the headquarters in Buschhütten, a new lorry in the fleet shuttles between the two sites.

Following intensive remodelling and renovation work, the move to Kredenbach took place at the end of last year. The new logistics centre has now been officially inaugurated. In addition to the press, guests from politics and business, as well as companies involved in the project, were invited to the opening ceremony on June 28. Achenbach's own employees also had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the new premises on this day.

The Achenbach Group's growth course to a turnover of around €200 million in the current financial year, with sites in Buschhütten, Kredenbach, Baesweiler, Milenov (CZ), Alliance (USA) and Taicang (China), demonstrates the trust customers place in Achenbach's excellent aluminium rolling technology.

"The commitment and innovative strength of the approximately 500 employees in Kreuztal and the consistent development of the German site are largely responsible for our success," emphasises André E. Barten, Chairman of the Management Board and shareholder of the 572-year-old family business.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
