Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 1, Chinese electric vehicle maker XPENG announced impressive delivery figures for June 2024. The company delivered a total of 10,668 vehicles last month, marking a year-on-year jump of 24% and a month-on-month rise of 5%.

Among which, monthly deliveries for the XPENG X9 came in at 1,687 units, with cumulative deliveries of this model reaching 13,143 units since its market launch six months ago. For the first half of 2024, XPENG's total vehicle delivery volume amounted to 52,028 units, surging 26% compared to the same period last year.

In June, the monthly active user penetration rate of XPENG's XNGP (XPENG Navigation Guided Pilot) urban smart driving system reached 84%. In July, a major OTA update will be released, promising nationwide usability and the implementation of more end-to-end large model scenarios, said XPENG.

XPENG entered the Egyptian market in June, launching the XPENG G9 and XPENG P7. Additionally, a significant OTA update for the AI-enhanced Tianji system in the third quarter of this year will also be available overseas.

In July, XPENG plans to unveil its new all-electric sports sedan, the XPENG MONA M03. This model, designed with AI-quantified aesthetics, boasts a stance comparable to a performance sports car. World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
