The Recycling Today Media Group has announced that registration is officially open for Scrap Expo 2024, the metals recycling and auto dismantling industry's only live demonstration event. Taking place September 17-18 in Louisville, Kentucky, Scrap Expo is designed for scrap metal dealers and processors, auto dismantlers and others handling and preparing ferrous and nonferrous scrap.

This first-of-its-kind, hands-on event includes an outdoor exhibit area where attendees can operate equipment and see live demonstrations of scrap processing and material handling equipment, including balers, shears depollution equipment and more. An indoor exhibit area features a wide range of products and services from leading industry suppliers.

“We are thrilled to bring Scrap Expo back to Louisville for its third year,” says James Keefe, publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group. “From the opportunity to actually operate equipment before you buy to the electric networking that happens in the indoor exhibit hall, education sessions and at our networking events, there really is no other industry event like Scrap Expo.”

Scrap Expo’s program features technical training sessions on machine maintenance and operation, commodity market dynamics, and more. The speaker lineup consists of industry experts as well as forward-thinking owners and executives from the market's most successful companies.

Group discounts also are available and increase with the number of people attending from one company. Full conference details, including pricing and how to register, can be found at www.ScrapExpo.net.

A limited number of exhibition and sponsorship opportunities remain available. For more details and to view a prospectus, visit www.ScrapExpo.net/page/why-exhibit-sponsor.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
