Joint Signing of 208MW/416MWh Grid-side Independent Energy Storage Power Station Project in Foshan Gaoming, with Total Investment of 800 Million Yuan

[Signing of 208MW/416MWh Grid-side Independent Energy Storage Power Station Project] SMM has learned that on June 27th, Guangzhou Energy Storage Group Co., Ltd., Foshan Gaoming Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Heguangtong Investment Co., Ltd. jointly signed an investment cooperation framework agreement for the 208MW/416MWh grid-side independent energy storage power station project in Gaoming District, Foshan City.

The total investment of the signed project is approximately 800 million yuan, including a fixed investment of about 700 million yuan. It will construct the largest 208MW/416MWh grid-side independent energy storage power station in Guangdong Province for frequency and voltage regulation. The project is planned to complete the construction within this year and complete debugging and officially go into operation before the Spring Festival of 2025.

CATL Chairman: China's NEV Sales Surpass 7.4M in H1, Emphasizes Precision in Battery Production
CATL Chairman Zeng Yuqun, in a video address to the 2026 World Power Battery Conference, said that in H1 this year, China's NEV sales exceeded 7.4 million units, with over 600 new models launched, averaging nearly three per day. Everyone is competing on speed, specifications, and price, and development cycles are getting shorter. He noted that power batteries require extremely high precision and have very low tolerance for error. In mass production, all small issues are magnified many times over, so every process and every parameter must be strictly controlled from the design stage, anomalies must be identified in advance, and there must be zero tolerance for quality problems.
