On June 26, AVATR announced that it would be one of the first car brands to integrate Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 smart driving system.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 26, AVATR, the high-end smart electric vehicle brand jointly backed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, announced that it would be one of the first car brands to integrate Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 smart driving system, starting with valet parking function.

AVATR Technology President Chen Zhuo revealed that user testing for the valet parking (VPD) feature began on June 25, with a nationwide intelligent driving experience event launching on June 29. Supported by Huawei's Qiankun ADS, AVATR has established a network of 50 stores across 30 cities offering the VPD experience.

The Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0, launched on April 24, includes significant upgrades in HD map-free smart driving, omnidirectional collision avoidance, and all-scenario intelligent parking. The system's new architecture, based on the BEV network and GOD network from ADS 2.0, has evolved into the GOD large network, enhancing recognition and perception capabilities.

The ADS 3.0 system, through cloud and on-vehicle training, improves scenario understanding capabilities and makes driving decisions more akin to those of a human driver. Additionally, the upgraded CAS 3.0 omnidirectional collision system covers a wider range of emergency braking and lateral obstacle avoidance scenarios.

Importantly, upgrading from ADS 2.0 to ADS 3.0 does not require hardware changes, significantly accelerating the deployment of ADS 3.0 in vehicles.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
