On June 20, XPENG announced that its new product series, MONA, has achieved a significant achievement with its first model, the MONA M03.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 20, XPENG announced that its new product series, MONA, has achieved a significant achievement with its first model, the MONA M03. The vehicle has undergone 15 aerodynamic optimization projects, resulting in an impressive drag coefficient of 0.194 Cd, the lowest for any mass-produced all-electric hatchback globally.

XPENG highlighted that the MONA M03 integrates aerodynamic performance into its body design, featuring a fully integrated active grille akin to those found in supercars. This irregular single-blade design seamlessly blends with the car's exterior, intelligently adjusting based on vehicle speed to balance aerodynamic optimization and motor cooling needs, thereby reducing drag.

On June 13, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published the latest batch of vehicle lists in the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products." The XPENG MONA M03 was officially included in this list, marking its registration with the MIIT.

As a pure electric hatchback-style sports sedan, the MONA M03 employs a new design language, balancing artistic design with automotive functionality through Smart Design AI. The vehicle measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,896 mm in width, and 1,445 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. This creates a length-to-height ratio of 3.31 and a width-to-height ratio of 1.31, resulting in an ultra-low, sporty appearance that conveys a wide body and low center of gravity.

The XPENG MONA M03's exteior is available in two color schemes: Starlight Blue and Nebula Beige. The side profile of the car is simple and elegant, with the upper waistline extending from the front fender to the tail light, enhancing the overall sporty atmosphere. The headlights feature a "010" split three-dimensional design with a starlight motif. The headlight assembly includes over 300 LED lights, utilizing advanced thick-wall light guide technology and dynamic lighting elements, ensuring high recognizability at night. The front and rear light designs complement each other harmoniously.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
