Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 14, Dongfeng Motor's eπ brand officially put its second flagship model, the eπ008, onto the market and commenced deliveries.
The family-oriented intelligent large SUV is available in both extended-range (REEV) and battery-electric versions (BEV), each priced at 216,600 yuan, with a limited-time offer starting at 188,600 yuan.
The eπ008 is positioned as a smart family SUV, boasting a 5-meter length, 3-meter wheelbase, and a three-row six-seat layout. This design ensures ample seating space and enhanced safety for the third row.
The vehicle features a broad, elegant front with a digital diamond full-width light bar and matching rear light bar. The side profile is aerodynamically optimized, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.268Cd. Unique design elements such as the hidden intelligent starlight grille and digital rhythm charging indicator on the D-pillar enhance the vehicle’s aesthetic and add a sense of ceremony.
The front seats are equipped with electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating features, with the driver's seat offering memory and lumbar support functions for added comfort during long drives. Inside, a 180mm wide rear aisle facilitates easy access to the second and third rows. The second row features two business-class seats with electric adjustment, ventilation, heating, and zero-gravity recline with an 8-point massage feature. Additional luxury features include sunshades, small tables, and a unique cold-warm sliding refrigerator operated by voice or touch.
The third row offers exceptional comfort with 700mm of space from the backrest to the front seat, comparable to B-segment vehicles' second rows. Convenient features include independent cup holders, reading lights, and charging ports.
Powered by Dongfeng Motor’s self-developed SOA intelligent cockpit, the eπ008 integrates advanced computing and AI large model to create a customizable smart living space. Users can easily switch between various modes such as nap and movie modes and even customize their scenarios. The SUV includes a 15.6-inch intelligent rear infotainment screen with wireless casting and 20 speakers with 7.1.2-channel WANOS surround sound, transforming the vehicle into a mobile "home theater."
In terms of smart driving, the eπ008 comes standard with 20 intelligent assistance features, including advanced functions like highway NOA (Navigate-on-Autopilot) and 400-meter long-distance memory parking.
The BEV model achieves a CLTC range of 636 km, while the REEV version, featuring Dongfeng Motor’s new Mach super range-extended system and smart digital twin platform, uses a 1.5T engine with a thermal efficiency of 45.18%. This system allows for a combined range of up to 1,300 km through intelligent fuel and electricity management.
