【Copper Inventory】On June 17th, LME copper inventory increased by 2,750 tons to 136,675 tons.

【Aluminum Inventory】On June 17th, LME aluminum inventory decreased by 5,100 tons to 1,073,950 tons.

【Lead Inventory】On June 17th, LME lead inventory increased by 9,575 tons to 206,300 tons.

【Zinc Inventory】On June 17th, LME zinc inventory decreased by 3,250 tons to 250,950 tons.

【Tin Inventory】On June 17th, LME tin inventory increased by 65 tons to 4,675 tons.

【Nickel Inventory】On June 17th, LME nickel inventory increased by 264 tons to 87,744 tons.

Konkola Copper Mines (KCM)'s Nchanga Smelter Began a 60-Day Production Shutdown for Maintenance

Konkola Copper Mines (KCM), a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources, announced on Tuesday the official commencement of a planned 60-day maintenance shutdown of the Nchanga smelter in Zambia, with production expected to resume in August 2026. The maintenance aims to enhance equipment reliability and long-term efficiency. During the shutdown, KCM will ensure continued production at the SX-EW Tailings Leach Plant (TLP) through external acid procurement and its own 500 mt/day acid plant. According to SMM, the Nchanga smelter currently has a smelting capacity of approximately 150,000 mt/year and plans to reach 300,000 mt/year by 2030.
