In April 2024, China imported 544,900 tons of plates, with a month-on-month increase of 7.88% and a year-on-year increase of 9.02%. From January to April 2024, China imported a total of 2,012,400 tons of plates, a year-on-year decrease of 5.29%.

In April, China exported 6,198,400 tons of plates, with a month-on-month decrease of 9.56% and a year-on-year increase of 17.61%. From January to April 2024, China exported a total of 24,136,200 tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 33.49%. Among them, the exports of hot-rolled, cold-rolled, strip steel, coated plate (strip) and other plates all showed significant growth year-on-year.
