Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 5, Changan NEVO, the new energy vehicle range of Changan Automobile, announced that it has achieved cumulative sales of over 100,000 vehicles in just seven months. Concurrently, the 100,000th vehicle, a Changan NEVO A07, rolled off the production line.

Changan NEVO currently offers three models on the market, namely, the A07, A05, and Q05. The A07, launched in late October 2023, comes in five variants priced between 155,900 yuan and 176,900 yuan. Built on the Changan EPA1 platform, the A07 is positioned as a mid-to-large sedan and marks the first model in the NEVO new product lineup.

The A07 features a distinctive design language, markedly different from previous Changan models. Its minimalist front end is accentuated by a wide light strip and split headlamp design, giving it a high-tech visual appeal.

Inside, the A07 boasts an AR-HUD and a 15.4-inch floating central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The vehicle also includes a dual-spoke flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel and a column shifter. Other features include frameless power doors, a 540-degree panoramic camera, and remote vehicle control via an app.

The A07 is available in both extended range and all-electric versions. The extended range model offers a maximum motor power of 160 kW and a CLTC-rated battery-powered range of 200 km. The pure electric version has a combined range of 1,200 km.

According to Changan NEVO, the A07, A05, and Q05 models are set to receive upgrades in the third and fourth quarters of this year. Additionally, the Changan NEVO E07 is slated for market release. By 2025, Changan NEVO plans to introduce ten new models globally, including the C798, C657, C390, and B216, to meet diverse consumer needs across various driving scenarios.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
