Shanghai (Gasgoo)- ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle maker under Geely Holding, announced on June 3 it has obtained the license that allows it to test Level 3 autonomous driving functions on its Haohan (dubbed Chinese Pinyin) intelligent driving system on Shanghai's highways and expressways.

ZEEKR added the Haohan system has achieved a 100% pass rate in tests spanning seven scenarios and over 30 subjects.

Public information reveals that ZEEKR's Haohan intelligent driving system is equipped with 31 sensing hardware components, providing robust hardware support for intelligent driving. It features the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin intelligent driving SoC chip with a computing power of up to 508 TOPS, enhancing the system's safety across various scenarios such as intelligent parking, and expressway and urban intelligent driving.

ZEEKR continues to invest in R&D of autonomous driving technologies. Previously, ZEEKR introduced the NZP (Navigation ZEEKR Pilot) highway driving assistant system, which, in expressway and urban arterial road scenarios, can automatically handle tasks based on the navigation path, including entering and exiting ramps, cruising, lane changes, and interchange transitions, effectively reducing driver fatigue on long-distance trips.

The system can recognize traffic light information and perform proactive lane changes, navigation-based lane changes, automatic ramp passing, correct fork selection, intelligent detours around construction, lever-based lane changes, and environment simulation display for seven core functions.

Since the launch of ZEEKR highway NZP in July last year, its autonomous driving service has covered 65 cities nationwide. It is expected to expand to over 90% of prefecture-level cities in China by the end of the second quarter this year.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
