Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 1, China FAW Group Import and Export Co., Ltd. signed an authorized sales agreement with Norway's Motor Gruppen in Drammen, Norway. This agreement designates Motor Gruppen as the sales partner for Hongqi's new energy vehicle models, the EH7 and EHS7, in the Norwegian market, laying a solid foundation for these models' entry into the broader European market.

The collaboration with the Norwegian dealer is significant for Hongqi’s expansion in Europe and will enhance the brand's market presence.

The Hongqi EH7, an all-electric sedan, officially went on sale in March 2024. The EHS7, Hongqi’s first mid-to-large battery-electric SUV, made its global debut at this year's Auto China in Beijing. With the agreement in place, the European launch of these two models is now in its final stages.

The Hongqi EHS7, part of Hongqi's new energy sub-brand, is poised to provide an intelligent and enjoyable driving experience. It will officially hit the Chinese marekt in mid-2024. Built on the Hongqi Jiuzhang intelligent platform HIS, the EHS7 incorporates over 100 key technologies, including SOA software architecture and full-vehicle OTA capabilities. These innovations promise an exceptional experience in intelligent cabin and smart driving. The platform also supports advanced features like city NOA (navigation on autopilot) and highway NOA, ensuring that the vehicle’s intelligence offers practical and meaningful benefits for everyday driving.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
