Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 30, Geely Automobile unveiled the Galaxy Flyme Auto smart cockpit system, co-developed with DreamSmart. Alongside this, Geely introduced the industry's first AI smart audio system, Flyme Sound. Both systems will be integrated into Geely's Galaxy new energy vehicle range, with customization based on different model requirements.

The hardware, especially the in-car chip performance, is crucial for intelligent interaction in smart cockpits. Geely-backed SiEngine developed and mass-produced China's first 7nm automotive-grade cockpit chip, SE1000This chip features an 8-core CPU, 14-core GPU, and AI computing power double that of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8155, said the company. It supports 2.5K video playback and enables advanced AI applications.

The Galaxy Flyme Auto smart cockpit system includes a rich array of features such as scenario spaces, multi-form desktops, and a Dock menu, all part of the Alive Design. It supports various intelligent interactions like gesture control, Smart Bar, and voice commands. Through Flyme Link, seamless interconnectivity between car systems and smartphones is achieved, unlocking features like app transfer, relay, small window projection, parallel windows, and hardware sharing. A built-in app store and eight preset scenario modes cater to users' diverse needs.

In terms of audio, Geely has invested over 100 million yuan in R&D, forming a professional team to create the Flyme Sound AI smart audio system. This system, developed in collaboration with Flyme Sound Inside, features a pioneering 9.1.6 surround sound layout with six overhead channels and a 20-channel external amplifier supporting up to 27 speakers. This setup delivers 2,000W of power, ensuring distortion-free sound and low-frequency depth reaching the human hearing limit of 20Hz.

Geely's self-developed tuning team, in partnership with WANOS, AAC, and Harman Kardon, has conducted multiple rounds of objective and subjective adjustments to the audio system. Flyme Sound can simulate various environments like recording studios, concert halls, and cinemas, providing a realistic auditory experience. Advanced AI algorithms optimize the sound field based on car interior space, passenger count, and content, ensuring the best listening experience for every passenger. This allows for personalized audio settings, offering a unique auditory experience tailored to individual preferences.
