Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, Chinese legacy automaker JAC Motors celebrated the grand opening of its Dammam showroom and the launch of the T8 PRO automatic pickup model in Saudi Arabia.

The event featured nearly 20 confirmed pre-sale orders for the T8 PRO, highlighting the strong local interest in the new model.

As a significant addition to JAC’s pickup lineup in Saudi Arabia, the T8 PRO boasts competitive advantages in exterior design, comfort features, and intelligent connectivity. The opening of the Dammam showroom marks JAC’s comprehensive coverage of the major urban areas in Saudi Arabia, enhancing and completing its product portfolio in this key market.

The Gulf region is a pivotal hub and partner in China’s Belt and Road Initiative, making it one of JAC Group's most important overseas strategic markets.

In January 2024, JAC Group held an export ceremony for its pickups to Saudi Arabia. Since partnering with Saudi’s Alissa Group in 2020, JAC has seen substantial success in its export business. In 2023, industry client deliveries grew by over 40% year on year, reflecting the strong collaboration and trust between the two companies.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
