Bosch’s Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division in China announced the successful delivery of the third-generation multipurpose evo camera for Changan Automobile's new energy vehicle brand DEEPAL.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Bosch’s Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division in China announced the successful delivery of the third-generation multipurpose evo camera for Changan Automobile's new energy vehicle brand DEEPAL, which will be installed onto the latter’s G318 model.

This project, developed by a local engineering team, achieved mass production in just five and a half months.

This marks Bosch's first global and Changan DEEPAL's first production project based on the third-generation multipurpose evo camera with 1R1V (single camera, single radar) configuration. The system supports SAE Level 2 advanced driving assistance features, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Integrated Adaptive Cruise (ICA), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA). The evo camera can recognize speed bumps, enabling the "Active Magic Carpet" feature for DEEPAL’s air suspensions. This allows the suspension system to adjust for road undulations, enhancing comfort over speed bumps.

Bosch and DEEPAL plan to deepen their collaboration to drive innovation in intelligent driving technology, providing safer and more comfortable travel experiences for consumers. Incorporating artificial intelligence and new image processing algorithms, the camera supports long-range recognition of lane lines, targets, and other road users. The AI processing power is four times that of previous models, optimized for local Chinese scenarios, significantly improving recognition rates of stationary objects and irregular vehicles. Enhanced perception algorithms also improve performance in adverse weather and low-light conditions.

With Bosch's extensive global data, the camera can recognize traffic signs, road conditions, and participants in over fifty countries, meeting global functional and cyber safety standards. This offers reliable ADAS functions and supports local automakers' global expansion strategies.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
