【SMM Daily Review: Lithium Carbonate Prices Remain Stable on May 22nd】SMM News on May 22nd: The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 106,727 yuan/ton, a decrease of 69 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 104,000 to 109,800 yuan/ton, with an average price of 106,900 yuan/ton, which was unchanged compared to the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 101,000 to 104,000 yuan/ton, with an average price of 102,500 yuan/ton, which was unchanged compared to the previous working day. The spot transactions of lithium carbonate in the market today remain sluggish. Due to the large difference in psychological expected prices between upstream and downstream companies in the industry, there are few direct spot transactions between lithium salt factories and downstream companies. In addition, some downstream companies still have a poor willingness to purchase spot goods today, and their psychological expected prices are still downward, with reduced inquiries and purchases from market traders. Therefore, both sides are mostly waiting and watching today, and prices have not changed significantly.
