Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, global mobility tech provider ECARX announced a partnership with GigaAI to develop an advanced simulation platform based on generative AI and visual large models. This platform aims to accelerate the validation and iteration of intelligent driving technologies.

GigaAI is recognized as one of the most influential teams in China, integrating large models with intelligent driving. Through this collaboration, ECARX and GigaAI will create a comprehensive scenario library incorporating real-world road environments and sensor characteristics.

By iterating on AGI capabilities, the platform will generate realistic and diverse virtual driving scenarios and traffic flows. These spatial scenarios will support multi-perspective and multi-vehicle generalization, including quantitative generation for corner cases. Coupled with real-world testing, this collaboration will establish an efficient simulation platform to expedite scenario simulation, prediction, and functional development, enhancing effective road validation mileage.

The simulation platform will initially focus on functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Navigation on Autopilot (NOA). It will conduct algorithm simulations and iterative improvements to continually enhance simulation accuracy and significantly boost validation efficiency for road and parking scenarios. This iterative process will drive the rapid development and capability enhancement of core technologies, meeting future demands for integrated pilot and parking intelligent driving capabilities.

Additionally, besides applying generative AI large models to enhance perception capabilities and test and iterate existing driving functions, ECARX and GigaAI will jointly explore the development and implementation of world models as next-generation intelligent driving solutions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
