XPENG announces foray into French market with launch of XPENG G9 model

On May 16, Chinese smart electric vehicle maker XPENG held a launch event for the XPENG G9 model in Paris, marking its official entry into the French market.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 16, Chinese smart electric vehicle maker XPENG held a launch event for the XPENG G9 model in Paris, marking its official entry into the French market.

The 2024 XPENG G9 will be priced between 59,990 euros and 73,990 euros (approximately 470,000 to 580,000 yuan) in France, Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July this year.

The XPENG G9, as a premium all-electric SUV with advanced intelligent driving capabilities, is already available for sale in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany.

During the event, XPENG also showcased the XPENG G6 model, which is set to hit the local market in France next month. Based on its strong sales performance and positive reputation in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Germany, XPENG aims to capture a 3% market share in the model’s segment of the French electric vehicle market by the end of this year.

Currently, XPENG is working on expanding its dealer network across Europe to bolster its sales strategy. By the end of this year, XPENG plans to establish 35 sales outlets in France, with an aim to increase this number to 55 next year. This expansion will ensure that French consumers are within a 50-minute drive distance of the nearest XPENG dealership.
