Beijing (Gasgoo)- Meizu, the Geely-backed Chinese smartphone maker, revealed on its Flyme Auto website that its first-ever car model will be named the Meizu MX. This model will feature the Flyme Auto intelligent vehicle system.

Apart from the Meizu MX, other models utilizing this system include the Lynk & Co 07, the Lynk & Co 08, the Geely Galaxy E5, and the Lynk & Co Zero.

On November 30, 2023, Meizu officially announced its entry into the automotive market and plans to launch its first car model, the MEIZU DreamCar MX, in the first quarter of 2024, initiating the DreamCar co-creation program.

This program will allow users to customize aspects such as car paint, interior color schemes, and Flyme Auto themes. Meizu positions it as the world's first mass-produced vehicle deeply customized by users.

The Meizu MX will be based on Geely’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) and Industry 4.0 manufacturing capabilities.

Interestingly, the name Meizu MX's existence dates back to 2011, when Meizu released a 3G smartphone under the same name.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
