BatteroTech, Wolong Electric Group sign strategic cooperation agreement

On the afternoon of May 6th, Chinese leading battery solution provider BatteroTech and Wolong Electric Group entered into a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate in key areas such as the dual-carbon economy, digital economy, new energy, new infrastructure, and supply chain management.

China's Anhui province promotes vehicle replacement initiative

The Department of Commerce of Anhui Province, in collaboration with 16 other departments, recently issued the "Anhui Province Action Plan for Promoting the Replacement of Consumer Goods." The plan targets a 50% increase in scrapped vehicle recycling volume by 2025, compared to 2023, and a 15% increase in the recycling number of waste household appliances. By 2027, the goals include doubling the scrapped vehicle recycling volume from 2023, boosting annual second-hand car transactions by 45%, and increasing the recycling of waste household appliances by 30%.

MOTIONSILICON, arm China forge partnership

MOTIONSILICON, a Chinese tech company focusing on design of automotive semiconductor chips, recently formed a partnership with arm China. MOTIONSILICON  said it will develop high-security, high real-time processing chips based on the advanced Arm® Cortex®-R52 and higher-end Cortex-R series platforms supplied by the latter. These processors are specifically designed to meet the automotive industry's critical demands for high performance, reliability, and safety control functions.

Skyworth Auto, Saudi Arabia's KAG Group form cooperation valued at 10 billion yuan for 1st phase

On May 7 and 8, the CEO of KAG Group, which is owned by HRH Princess Rima bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, visited Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, to engage in strategic discussions and sign a ten-year collaboration agreement with Chinese new energy vehicle maker Skyworth Auto.

The strategic partnership with Skyworth Auto is structured in two phases with the initial five-year phase involving a business collaboration plan valued at 10 billion yuan. The subsequent five-year phase will expand based on the outcomes of the initial phase.

GAC Energy's Hunan subsidiary plans to build 300 EV charging stations in 3 years

On May 6, GAC Energy Technology (Hunan) Co., Ltd. was officially incorporated, marking a significant milestone in GAC Group's strategic business expansion in Hunan province, according to a press release from GAC Group.

Dongfeng Motor Group achieves 11.32% YoY rise in Jan.-Apr. auto sales

In April 2024, Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) sold 142,625 vehicles, which is 129 units more than that of a year ago, according to the automaker's announcement on May 9.

GAC Group sees Apr. 2024 wholesales slide 24.78% YoY

GAC Group reported automobile wholesales totaling 133,313 units in April 2024, marking a 24.78% decline year-over-year. From January to April, the company's total wholesale volume reached 543,011 units, representing a 24.28% decrease compared to the same period last year.

HYCAN ships first batch of cars overseas
