Beijing (Gasgoo)- Autonomous driving tech firm Trunk.Tech on May 7 announced that the company has secured a significant investment, amounting to hundreds of millions of yuan.

This funding comes from leading industrial capital, including the Civil Aviation Investment Fund, and government funds such as Shunyi Technology Innovation Industrial Investment and Changzhou Zhonglou Jinlong Holding Group.

The capital raised in this round will greatly accelerate Trunk.Tech's R&D and mass production processes in the field of core autonomous driving technology and forward-looking products. It will aid the company in creating comprehensive intelligent transportation solutions and provide strong support for active expansion in domestic and international markets, thereby achieving the strategic goal of building an autonomous driving freight network.

With its full-stack self-developed technology, innovative product design capabilities, and commercial operation capabilities, Trunk.Tech has collaborated with mainstream commercial vehicle manufacturers such as FAW Jiefang, Sinotruk, XCMG, SANY Heavy-duty Truck, Foton Motor, and BEIBEN Trucks to launch over ten intelligent truck models.

In the low-speed closed port hub scenario, the company has delivered over 300 intelligent trucks, and its Trunk Port intelligent port unmanned driving solution has been successfully implemented in important projects such as Tianjin Port, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, Yantai Port, Hefei Port, and CNOOC Huizhou Logistics Base, achieving commercial validation and replication.

In the highway trunkline logistics scenario, Trunk.Tech has obtained commercial operation licenses for autonomous driving trucks in regions such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, Shandong province, the Yangtze River Delta, and Inner Mongolia. Based on the Trunk Freight solution, it provides intelligent transportation services to top logistics customers such as CMST, Deppon, STO Express, SF Express, and JD Logistics, with a cumulative transport distance of over 20 million kilometers.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
