Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 6, the official website of ONVO (“乐道” in Chinese), a mainstream family car-oriented brand of NIO, was officially launched, featuring the message "Stay tuned for the first model, L60".

However, the information displayed on the ONVO website is limited. Apart from the official ONVO logo, no other details are provided. Additionally, ONVO has also opened an official Weibo account, but it remains inactive with no further information or posts.

The launch of the ONVO website indicates that after nearly three years of preparation, NIO's sub-brand ONVO is entering an intensive promotional period. Furthermore, it has been reported that ONVO's management will make a public appearance on May 9, where details regarding responsible personnel, brand and logo meanings, as well as information about the ONVO App, will be clarified.

According to Reuters, Nicolas Vincelot, General Manager for NIO in France, revealed at a Sino-French business forum in Paris on May 6 that ONVO, the sub-brand of NIO, is expected to launch the L60 model for the mass market by the end of May. Additionally, in 2025, ONVO plans to introduce a second brand, Firefly, positioned at a lower price point of under $30,000 (approximately 216,500 yuan). Vincelot emphasized NIO's commitment to launching a new pure electric vehicle brand that will better cater to the demands of the European market.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
