[SMM News Flash] According to the research of SMM, there are some differences in the zinc calcine market between the south and the north. The product in the southern market is relatively tight, while there are some enterprises in the northern market with a backlog of products. The main reason is that there are more electrolysis plants in the north, which have strict requirements on the fluorine and chlorine content as well as the recovery rate of zinc calcine. In contrast, there are more pyrometallurgy smelters in the south, and their requirements are relatively loose. This has also led to a significant difference in the processing fee of zinc calcine between the south and the north. SMM will continue to pay attention to the subsequent changes.
