NIO scores 134.6% YoY surge in Apr. 2024 deliveries

NIO delivered 15,620 vehicles during the month, marking a significant year-over-year growth of 134.6%.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 1, NIO Inc. ("NIO" or the "Company"), a Chinese premium smart electric vehicle maker, announced its vehicle delivery results for April 2024.

The company delivered 15,620 vehicles during the month, marking a significant year-over-year growth of 134.6%. This total includes 8,817 premium smart electric SUVs and 6,803 sedans.

As of the end of April, NIO's cumulative vehicle deliveries stood at 495,267 units.

On April 25, 2024, NIO introduced the 2024 ET7, a premium smart electric sedan designed for executive use. The model features substantial upgrades in both its interior and exterior designs and its digital systems, aimed at meeting the needs of premium executive customers, said the automaker. Deliveries for the new ET7 started on April 30, 2024.

Also on April 25, NIO forged a strategic partnership with Lotus Technology, a prominent player in the global luxury electric vehicle industry, focusing on charging and battery swapping. NIO has consistently engaged in collaborations aimed at enhancing charging and battery swapping technologies. It has previously established strategic alliances with several key automotive companies, including Changan Automobile, Geely Group, JAC Group, and Chery Automobile, to promote battery swapping. NIO said is committed to pushing forward the innovation and standardization of these technologies and is working towards developing a widespread, standardized power network to offer users a more efficient and convenient charging experience.
