Polysilicon
Yesterday, the mainstream prices of polysilicon N-type materials and dense polysilicon were 43-49 yuan/kg and 39-44 yuan/kg respectively. The price of polysilicon continued to fall yesterday, and the market sentiment was poor. Every company has cost pressure, and the upstream continued to push pressure.
Output: Polysilicon companies are operating normally in April, and with new production capacity coming into operation, output continues to rise. However, one small factory is undergoing maintenance, and there is a possibility of expansion due to inventory and cost pressures.
Inventory: Downstream purchases are active, operating rate is high, and inventory is still around 200,000 tons.
Solar cell
Price: Battery prices are still expected to fall. The current price of high-efficiency PERC182 cells (efficiency of 23.2% and above) is 0.34-0.35 yuan/W; the price of PERC210 cells is around 0.35-0.38 yuan/W; the price of Topcon182 cells (efficiency of 24.4% and above) is around 0.38-0.39 yuan/W; and the price of Topcon210 cells is 0.40-0.41 yuan/W.
Production: Topcon battery production in May is expected to increase compared to April, while P-type battery production will decrease.
Inventory: Current battery inventories continue to grow, and demand is weak. Integrated manufacturers had sufficient battery stocks in March and April, so although component production schedules increased in May, the impact on battery demand was limited.
PV film
Price
EVA photovoltaic material: The current transaction price of domestic EVA photovoltaic material continues to decline, and there is a significant difference in the decline range and price range; EVA wire and cable material continues to decline, the price dropped significantly, and there is a significant difference in the adjustment range and price range. Affected by the large price difference, it is impossible to give a guiding standard today. For details, please consult the analyst (Zhang, 18919136634). EVA foaming prices remained at 10,800-11,000 yuan/mt. POE photovoltaic material C4 remained at $2550-2650/mt, and C8 remained at $2650-2750/mt.
Photovoltaic film: The current mainstream film price is 6.93-7.06 yuan/square meter for 420g transparent EVA film, 7.35-7.94 yuan/square meter for 420g white EVA film, 7.90-8.06 yuan/square meter for 380g EPE film, and 10.26-10.45 yuan/square meter for 380g POE film. The price of EVA film may be officially adjusted.
Output: This week, upstream particle companies operated normally, and actual output in April dropped significantly. Compared with the expectations at the beginning of the month, it has now been reduced to less than 100,000 tons.
Mainstream manufacturers have completed maintenance and resumed production. Film production is normal. The first quarter financial report has been released. Please consult analysts for details.
Inventory: The current inventory of upstream enterprises needs to be judged according to different enterprises, and the inventory is limited. The film is produced according to demand.
Inverter
Price: The price range for 20kw inverter is 0.15-0.19 yuan/W, 0.14-0.18 yuan/W for 50kw, 0.12-0.17 yuan/W for 110 kw.
Supply and demand: There is no change in the inverter price range and the price remains stable. The inverter supply is full and the production of high-power inverters has been increased. The shipment is stable, with high growth rates in domestic household demand and overseas demand in regions such as India, Pakistan and Brazil. Shipments in Europe are affected by inventory.

China Approves 17.44 GW Power Plan for Qaidam Desert Base, Including Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage Projects
It is understood that the National Energy Administration has officially approved the power source allocation plan for the "Qaidam Desert Base (East Golmud) Base". The planned construction scale of the power source projects at this base is 17.44 million kilowatts, including 10 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power, 5 million kilowatts of wind power, 2.64 million kilowatts of coal-fired power, 0.1 million kilowatts of solar thermal power, and 1.5 million kilowatts (for 4 hours) of electrochemical energy storage. The total investment in the projects is about 86 billion yuan. The new energy will be transmitted to Guangxi through the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" UHV power transmission project. Currently, significant progress has been made in the preliminary work of the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" project, w

[SMM PV News] Armenia Hits 1.1 GW Solar Capacity,
Armenia’s cumulative solar capacity has surged to 1.1 GW following the addition of approximately 615 MW in 2025. This rapid expansion has pushed solar's share of electricity generation to around 15%, effectively meeting the country's 2030 target years ahead of schedule. The growth is heavily driven by a net-metering scheme supporting over 50,000 autonomous producers (totaling 650 MW), though the government ended loan subsidies for rooftop solar in July to shift focus toward battery storage.
