Yingli Energy Storage Station in Guangdong Province Launched, Marking a Milestone in Clean Energy Development

The Yingli Energy Storage Station in Leizhou, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province has officially been put into operation, and an inauguration ceremony was held at the construction site. According to sources, the Yingli Energy Storage Station is located in Xingfu Farm in Yingli Town, Leizhou City, about 36km from the downtown area of Leizhou City. With a total area of about 147 mu and a total investment of 3.45 billion yuan, the construction scale is 600 megawatts and 1200 megawatt-hours, planned to be built in two phases. Specifically, the first phase has a construction scale of 200 megawatts and 400 megawatt-hours, covering an area of about 54 mu, with an investment of 1.107 billion yuan. After the completion and operation of the project, it will become the first virtual power plant with large-capacity centralized energy storage power stations as the main body in the western region of Guangdong Province. The project can generate more than 200 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 120,000 residents, saving nearly 72,000 tons of standard coal and reducing about 237,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
