Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, BYD held a brand launch event in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and introduced five new energy vehicle (NEV) models, namely, the Yuan PLUS (known as the BYD ATTO 3 overseas), the Seal, the Han, the Qin PLUS DM-i, and the Song PLUS DM-i.

During the event, BYD not only showcased the unique features of its brand and technologies through a Q&A session and in-depth sharing with media outlets, but also elucidated the environmental and economic advantages of NEVs compared to traditional oil-powered cars.

In order to allow attendees to experience BYD's NEVs in person, the event included a special test drive session. The guests highly praised these five models for their stylish exterior, luxurious interior, and extraordinary driving pleasure.

Adam Peng, Sales Director of BYD's Middle East, said: "We're actively aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030 and fully supporting its green transformation process. As one of the global leaders in new energy vehicle sales, BYD will introduce more mature and diverse green mobility solutions to Qatar's passenger car market, helping more Qatari consumers realize their dream of owning new energy vehicles."

In 2023, BYD sold over 3 million NEVs, securing the global champion by annual NEV sales. Its NEV sales footprints have extended to reach more than 400 cities in 70 countries and regions worldwide. Looking ahead, BYD will continue to bring efficient green mobility solutions to Middle East region, promoting the regional transformation of electrification, and contributing to the vision of "Cool the Earth by 1°C".

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
