Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 26, Desay SV, GAIC AION’s Hyper brand, and NVIDIA signed a tripartite cooperation agreement at the Auto China 2024 in Beijing.
The three parties will jointly develop and accelerate the deployment of next-generation cockpit-driving integrated solution and central computing platforms based on NVIDIA's new generation DRIVE Thor chip, catering to the hardware and software requirements of Level 4 (L4) advanced autonomous driving systems.
The trio aims to jointly manufacture L4 production vehicles, providing power support for advanced autonomous driving functions, confident views, digital clusters, and AI-powered cockpits. Hyper plans to mass-produce L4 models by 2025, achieving an industry-leading 2,000 TOPS computing power.
The NVIDIA DRIVE Thor SoC (System-on-Chip) integrates NVIDIA's latest CPU and GPU innovations, including the NVIDIA Blackwell tailored for Transformer models and generative AI applications. DRIVE Thor supports 8-bit floating point (FP8) precision, providing 1,000 TOPS high-performance computing power on a single chip. This solution systematically integrates hardware and software, shortening the development cycle and significantly reducing costs.
