China Resources Power Cangnan No.1 offshore wind power's first energy storage project has been successfully connected to the grid and put into operation, with an annual online power generation capacity of up to 1.35 billion kWh. Recently, the first energy storage project of China Resources Power Cangnan No.1 offshore wind power has passed the acceptance test and been connected to the grid for power generation. It is reported that the project is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system with an installed capacity of 24 megawatts. It consists of two subsystems and seven energy storage units, and the reserve electricity is equivalent to the electricity generated by a 24,000-kilovolt power plant in one hour. At present, the China Resources Power Cangnan No.1 offshore wind power project has achieved full-capacity grid connection, and it is expected that the annual online power generation capacity of the wind farm will reach 1.35 billion kWh, with an annual equivalent full-load hour of 3,380 hours. Compared with conventional coal-fired thermal power units with the same power generation capacity, it can save about 422,000 tons of standard coal per year. In addition, it can also save 4 million cubic meters of fresh water, with obvious economic and environmental benefits.
