Quotations from refined lead smelters declined, downstream purchases were weak

Today, the average price of SMM1# lead rose 150 yuan/ton to 16675 yuan/ton. The mainstream discount was 200-100 yuan/ton against the average price of SMM1# lead,ex-factory; some cargoes were quoted with discounts of 300 yuan/ton.

SHANGHAI, Apr 24 (SMM) - Today, the average price of SMM1# lead rose 150 yuan/ton to 16675 yuan/ton. The mainstream discount was 200-100 yuan/ton against the average price of SMM1# lead,ex-factory; some cargoes were quoted with discounts of 300 yuan/ton. The ex-factory prices excluding tax were 15650-15700 yuan/ton.

The refined lead smelters said that there were not many downstream purchases and transactions have been light in recent days. Battery manufacturers said that they purchased mainly under long-term orders.
