Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 22, Chinese new energy vehicle maker NETA Auto put its fire new mid-sized SUV model, the NETA L, onto the market. Coming with four trim levels, the new model is priced between 129,900 yuan and 159,900 yuan.

Notably, the entry-level version (priced at 129,900 yuan) will officially go on sale in August. Those who place an order for the 159,900-yuan 310 Flash Charging Hongyi (named in Chinese Pinyin) Edition before May 31 will enjoy a cash discount of 5,000 yuan.

Built on the Shanhai platform, the new model offers both a BEV (battery electric vehicle) and REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) versions, with the REEV version went on sale this time.

The NETA L features a minimalist design aesthetic, highlighted by its headlights and triangular air intakes that come together to create an X-shaped facade. The trapezoidal grille at the lower part, embellished with chrome dots, enhances its sharp and refined appearance.

On the side, the NETA L features a two-tone body and a smoked black roof, with an elevated waistline and five-spoke wheels.

Dimension-wise, the model spans 4,770mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,660mm in height, with a wheelbase measuring 2,810mm.

Additionally, the new car will be available in five body colors, all of which are offered at no extra charge.

In terms of rear design, the taillights feature NETA Auto's iconic through-type design, which further broadens the visual width of the rear, complemented by an upward spoiler, giving the rear a sporty look.

Inside, the NETA L sports a wraparound cockpit with two 15.6-inch large screens, and a central control screen that seamlessly extends to the passenger side. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P chip, the vehicle offers an enhanced audio and visual entertainment experience. The interior is tastefully appointed in light colors with a pleasing texture, featuring diamond-patterned seats and headrests adorned with NETA’s logo. Additionally, the model is available in two elegant interior hues: Merlot Brown and Muse White.

The NETA L will offer trendy amenities including a 6.6-liter standalone compressor refrigerator with a temperature control range of -6°C to 50°C, and tray tables with sturdy hinge.

Besides, the higher-spec trims of the NETA L REEV model come equipped with a 10-way adjustable driver's seat and a 14-way adjustable passenger seat, both featuring an SPA massage system. The vehicle also boasts a 16-speaker NETA 720° surround sound system, headrest speakers for both the driver's and passenger seats, DMS driver facial recognition, one-touch SPA mode, and front-row wind-cooled wireless mobile fast charging pads, among other amenities. Furthermore, folding down the rear seats expands the trunk space from 583 liters to 1,434 liters.

For driving assistance, the new vehicle is equipped with NETA AD automatic parking assist, supporting full voice control, and practical 50-meter tracking reverse.

Under the hood, the NETA L REEV model features a 1.5L four-cylinder range extender system, boasting a compression ratio of 14.9:1, thermal efficiency of 40%, and a maximum power output of over 60kW. The electric motor delivers a maximum power of 170kW and peak torque of 310N·m.

The NETA L REEV models uses the LFP flash charge battery from CATL, with a charging rate up to 2.6C, enabling a quick recharge from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in just 19 minutes. Depending on the configuration, the vehicle is equipped with a battery pack with optional capacity of 30kWh or 40kWh, offering a CLTC battery-power-alone range of 220km or 310km, respectively.

It's worth mentioning that through the Outpost Energy-Saving Mode (a large model algorithm that adjusts the range extender based on navigation destination, driving habits, and current battery level to optimize energy consumption), the battery-powered range can be increased by 2% and energy consumption reduced by 3%. In terms of range, the 220-km version has a CLTC combined range of 1,250 km, while the 310-km version achieves a combined range of 1,300 km under the same test cycle.

Regarding the suspension system, the NETA L employs a combination of MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. The front suspension's main components are made of aluminum alloy to reduce weight. The multi-link independent rear suspension, which is not commonly seen in vehicles of this class, utilizes additional control arms to better constrain the motion of the rear wheels, thereby enhancing both handling and comfort.
