Qinghai Provincial Department of Industry And Information Technology Actively Promotes The Construction of A World-class Salt Lake Industry Base.

According to the news from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Qinghai Province, in order to accelerate the key work of nurturing the salt lake industry, empowering science and technology, and ensuring the guarantee of elements, the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, in accordance with the decision and deployment of the provincial Party committee and government, ensures the comprehensive implementation of various tasks and steadily promotes the construction of a "world-class salt lake industry base."

From January to March, the province's key products potassium fertilizer, lithium carbonate, and metallic lithium produced 1.492 million tons, 34,000 tons, and 135 tons, respectively, with year-on-year growth of 0.7%, 59.9%, and 86.6%, respectively.

In terms of strengthening planning leadership, the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has drafted the "Construction Plan of World-Class Salt Lake Industrial Base" and the "General Outline of Golmud Salt Lake Green Industrial Park"; in terms of promoting industrial development, it has drafted the "Second Meeting of the Leading Group for the Construction of World-Class Salt Lake Industrial Base in Qinghai Province and Field Research Activity Plan" and the "Work Points for Accelerating the Construction of World-Class Salt Lake Industrial Base by 2024," and is preparing to hold the second meeting of the provincial and ministerial joint construction leading group; in terms of strengthening standard leadership, it has drafted the "Implementation Plan for the Construction of World-Class Salt Lake Industrial Base Standard System," and is promoting the development of 20 local and enterprise standards such as technical specifications for the storage and mining of potassium fertilizer production ores in the near future.
