Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 22, GAC AION, the new energy vehicle subsidiary under GAC Group, announced that it will unveil its all-new second-generation model at the forthcoming 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024), which will open on April 25.

The teaser images released by the company indicate that the new vehicle will be either an SUV or a crossover. The design prominently features straight lines and a muscular appearance. The new model is equipped with a LiDAR unit on the roof and distinctive "H"-shaped headlights at the front. No further details have been disclosed yet.

Additionally, during the Auto China 2024, the 2024 Hyper HT model will also hit the market. It has already completed a 825-km long-range test.

The 2024 Hyper HT maintains the exterior design of the existing model with some of its trim levels upgraded in with advanced driver-assistance hardware to support HD map-free NDA (Navigated Driving Assist).

In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,935mm in length, 1,920mm in width, and 1,700mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,935mm.

The 2024 Hyper HT comes with optional features including front and rear radars, exterior mirrors with cameras, a shark-fin antenna, various colored brake calipers, gull-wing doors, a spoiler, rear privacy glass, and a roof-mounted radar.

Power-wise, the 2024 Hyper HT is expected to retain the current model's power setup, featuring a rear-mounted electric motor available in both high and low power versions. Moreover, it will be equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery supplied by EVE Power, and a permanent magnet synchronous motor from Ruipai Power Technology, with a maximum output of 250kW.
