FAW Group, ECARX team up to build smart cockpit solution, Hongqi-brand smartphones

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 18, at the 5thChina FAW Technology Conference, the Chinese legacy automaker FAW Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with ECARX, a smart mobility solution developer affiliated with Geely, focusing on intelligent cockpit development.

According to the agreement, both parties will embark on comprehensive strategic cooperation in the smart cockpit field, leveraging their respective strengths in product design and development, collaboration on ecosystem terminal products, and the operation and maintenance of V2X ecosystems. 

FAW Group and ECARX aim to establish integrated full-stack R&D capabilities to create competitive smart cockpit solution and operating system (Hongqi OS) for FAW’s premium passenger car brand Hongqi. 

Notably, the duo will also jointly develop high-end Hongqi-brand smartphones to deliver ultimate connectivity and smart interaction experiences to users.

FAW Group and ECARX will swiftly implement the agreement, driving technological integration and innovation, seizing new opportunities in automotive intelligence, and working together for mutually beneficial cooperation.
