According to foreign media reports, Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is partnering with Masdar to focus on decarbonizing aluminum and exploring renewable energy projects, including battery storage and green hydrogen production-storage projects, to support EGA's decarbonization efforts in the UAE and future. The CEO of EGA stated that aluminum is crucial in economic decarbonization, with demand expected to grow by 80% by 2050. In 2021, EGA commercialized nearly 39,000 tons of solar aluminum, with production set to reach 66,000 tons of CelestiAL solar aluminum by 2023. EGA produces 1 ton of aluminum for every 25 tons they produce.
