Optimistic LFP demand for May

On the raw material side, lithium carbonate prices edged lower and iron phosphate prices remained stable. LFP enterprises have begun to stock up for upcoming Labour Day holiday. LFP enterprises were reluctant to cut offers when negotiating with downstream battery cell makers and some prefer the cooperation model under which clients provide them with lithium carbonate. Leading battery cell makers have dominant pricing power while smaller ones are more inclined to negotiate orders on a case by case manner. LFP enterprises said the actual market demand basically aligns with their previous expectations and are optimistic about the market outlook for May.
